Meet Some of the People That Serve at Midway

  • Lucille Clark

    LEADERSHIP TEAM

    Lucille has been a member of Midway most of her adult life. She lives near Salem, Ohio. Lucille was married to John, until he passed in 2020. Together they raised their three children and have four grandchildren. She attended college for one year at Eastern Mennonite College (now University) in Harrisonburg, VA. She was a certified nurses aid for 10 years and an LPN for 20 years. Lucille currently serves as the church librarian and is on the church decorating committee. She has been a member of the Midway Leadership Team since 2022. Lucille greatly appreciates Midway for the generosity, empathy, and cooperation shown to all.

  • Charlotte King

    LEADERSHIP TEAM

    Charlotte has attended Midway Mennonite Church for 23 years and has been a member for 21 years. She is beginning her fifth year as a member of the leadership team. During her time at Midway, she has served on many committees, including the church board and worship committee. She loves her church family and the loving care that everyone shows to each other. Charlotte sees Jesus at the center of Midway church and that centrality is reflected in the worship services. She believes in reaching out to others and becoming a disciple of Jesus. Before retiring, Charlotte managed various optical departments in the area. Charlotte lives in Columbiana with her sister, Sarah.

  • Joseph Shewell

    LEADERSHIP TEAM

    Joe has been attending Midway with his wife, Elizabeth, for approximately 13 years and has been a member for the past 6 years. Together, they greatly appreciate all the caring and loving people who make up this congregation. Joe has served on the Leadership Team for the past 3 years, and he frequently contributes to the church’s Praise Team as a pianist. Professionally, Joe is an Intervention Specialist, working with students who have moderate to sever special needs. He lives in Youngstown, with his wife and their young son.

  • Terry Snyder

    Terry Snyder

    LEADERSHIP TEAM

    Terry grew up at Midway, becoming a member in her early teens. She has been privileged to fill various positions in the church. Terry has been on the Leadership Team several times and is currently fulfilling a three year term. She deeply appreciates how the Midway congregation welcomes all who come and the many ways they care for each other. Terry and her husband, Rich, have been married for 54 years and have two grown sons and a grandson. She is retired and was previously employed as an administrative assistant for a church builder and a construction company.

  • Ron Wehr

    LEADERSHIP TEAM

    Ron has attended Midway Mennonite Church most of his life. He was baptized and became a member at the age of 12. He loves the Midway congregation. The loving and prayerful support the congregation has shown is beyond anything he has ever experienced. Currently, he is serving in his fourth year as a member of the leadership team. He also serves on the church board, pastoral search committee, worship service team, and as a Harmony Village board member. In addition, Ron assists with the church website design and AV technology. He keeps busy and the service to the Lord is very rewarding. Ron resides in Columbiana with his wife, Dawn. They have two grown daughters and two granddaughters.

  • Mindy Wilhelm

    OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

    Mindy came to Midway as the office administrator in September 2020. You will find Mindy creating bulletins, answering phones, and tackling any other administration needs that arise. Mindy has also enjoyed getting to know the people of Midway when they stop in throughout the week. She brings many years of church and parachurch ministry experience to Midway. Mindy resides in Salem with her husband, Todd, and their two children. In her spare time she is actively involved in ministry at the church she attends, loves and teaches music, and is an official “soccer mom.”
